got a gsr. used to have aem cai magnaflow exhaust and dc headers. rolled my car salvaged the motor and exhaust only.....
now got a ebay header and looking for options for intake.

i was thinking itb's but thats pretty much just baller status bit and i heard i can get pretty much same results with a cold air, tb , and tune (honda tuning mag actually)
so now i'm thinkin throttle body cold air and maybe a vafc for now and then tune next year...
any suggestions for tb size to run my pretty much stock motor:
header
full exhaust
12 lb flywheel
stage 2 clutch
msd external coil
msd wires

 

oh yeah i'm also planning to put cams retainers and springs in next year too...shootin for 220 whp at least

 

i wouldnt bother with the throttle body until you at least have some cams or other upgrades. if you must get one i wouldnt go any bigger than 64mm on the throttle-plate side(still a little big for a stock gsr) stock ITR TB is 62mm at the plate side. you would also have to port match the manifold for it to make a difference. the gains are minimal with a stock motor. it only really changes the throttle response feel. if you were to bore out to a 2-liter 65-70mm is great.

 

Personally, I have a Blox intake manifold with a 70mm TB and CTR cams on my GSR. That w/ 10lbs of boost will turn ya out.

 

i'm not big on boost at all tho...more of a n/a type of guy
