Default Mounting and routing 5pt belts, best way to do it?

I've got them mounted, now I just need them routed. I took them off the floor and mounted them to the top of the cage (not sure if it was the best thing to do, but it's better than the floor). Somebody told me it's best to have the low point of the belts 6 inches under where they come in through the seat which would be roughly where the bar is sitting behind my seats. So I'm wondering if I should loop them under there or not, I just don't wanna make this whole thing more dangerous than it already is and I'm just worried it might have too much downward pull and injure my spin if anything were to happen, unless you guys think it would be fine.

Thanks!

If this is better fit for another section of the forum, please move it for me.

This diagram (http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2iLdsMRgxb...s+Mounting.jpg) should help you out a bit, since it's tough to tell much from your photo. In addition, please put some proper padding on that bar once you get the harnesses mounted.
