Help speed sensor is stuck

Default Help speed sensor is stuck

I have a hell of a problem today i have to put oil in my tranny because i drained it all out but!!! my fill plug is stripped and the speed sensor broke and is stuck i tried to pry it off but it wont budge?! any suggestions?

you can fill it through the reverse switch hole..

yes. #6 in the picture is the reverse sensor. If i remember right, the nozzle at #14 will also work, but it will take forever because the tube is narrow.

i hope he has a d-series.. cause if not adding oil through the reverse solenoid could be interesting.. lol

b-series have the same sensor, so he should be ok unless he has an automatic or something.. haha..

i know they have the same sensor, its just located near the bottom of the tranny and at a slightly less opportune angle..

i wish the speed sensor had of not broken though i dont know how im going to replace that lol

You probably did, but some people totally don't know about it - did you take the bolt and little metal retainer off the tranny before you tried to pull the speed sensor out?

If you did take that off maybe try putting penetrating oil around the hole where the sensor goes into the tranny. I did this a few days ago and it worked. You have to let it sit so the oil can work it's way around the o-ring. I let it sit overnight and all it took was a little twist and it slid right out.
