I've searched and found many many threads on fixing the rusting quarter panel problem, however i have yet to find a solid DIY with photos showing the process.

So if you know of a good source showing a DIY rust repair with fiberglass and bondo, it would be greatly appreciated.

I dont have any pics, but the best advice I can give is make sure you clean ALL the rust before glassing. People have the tendency to just take a little of the rust off (the surface), but dont realize itll collapse in on itself if you dont get it from the back too. Ive done minor rust work, and the more you prep from the start the better off youll be.

 

yeah i was planning on treating the rust with POR 15 prior to glassing it.
i just want to know if there are any techniques to getting the fender to look decent and not like a hack job haah.

 

Putting new panels on. Fixing you quarter panels with fiberglass and bondo is a hack job.
