how do you take the rear speaker cover off?!?!?
picture request.. whats behind the rear speaker, is it a big mounting bracket for speaker???

any idea about depth?? how deep it is??
seems pretty deep back there.. think i could fit a 8" 2.2 depth back there.. if i created my own bracket??

If you're thinking about putting subs there. I saw a guy with a G3 teg put some 8" subs there with custom brackets. There is alot of room back there so you have lots of freedom. I don't know about keeping the stock plastic cover though, it would probably rattle like crazy.
The guy with the subs cut a new speaker hole into the interior panels and put bigger speaker covers.

Actually come to think of it, they might have been 10" subs 
I don't have much details as the last time I saw that car was 2 years ago. Take you interior panels off, take the car to a car audio shop and ask them what they can do.

That's a good picture. You see that metal bracket behind the control box that looks like it is reinforcing the body panel. Anybody remove this thing for weight savings? It looks like it doesn't have a direct purpose besides protecting the rear passengers in a slow collision.
Doesn't look like much weight to be saved but every ounce counts

I would stick with "free air" subs. I don't know if you can get a good sealed or ported box in that space.
