Default 02 Civic Si Hatch Project (Need Help)

Ok to cut a long story short i just purchased an 02 si hatch that was rolled for a local dirt oval track i race on next season. Car still ran and steers fine, thing is the previous owner had it super charged and has since took it off and sold it so i just got done putting the intake manifold and tb back on along with new gaskets. This is my first time messing with any k series but have pleny of knowledge with d, b and h series. Basically everything in the car has been stripped. I got plenty of power cus i tried 2 different batteries and the lights and horn still work when i hit the alarm but i dont hear the fuel pump kick on or the gauges come on when i turn the key forward. Is there some kind of sensor that may be off or something i need to check? Im gonna have alot more questions just hoping i can get a few guys to help me through this project. Thanx

Next question:

Both o2 sensors are gone and im only running exhaust halfway back, just enough for backpressure, now is it gonna hurt the performance at all? I was gonna get K-pro to disable the codes but wanted to see if it would be worth it or not if i was only getting it for that purpose unless i could get some significant other enhancements out of it.

Getting a dc race header from the original owner along with a primary o2 sensor, he told me that i would need the secondary as well if im still running the stock ecu and want it to run right. So ill be looking for that o2 sensor here soon. Holding off on kpro to see how the car runs with the stock ecu at practice in a few weeks. Gettin ready to paint the car, letter it and do the roll cage. Will post pix asap. Thanx

If you still have to A3 in there those A2 cams are pointless.... just saying if you didn't know bc you didn't mention what engine the car was running!

OK, look, the only way you can get the a2 cams to work is you have to pin the rockers togather so the cams run on the "hi cam" all the time. If this sounds stupid, it is but when people started doing it ,it was before anyone made cams for the a3 motor. You will of course have to get k-pro because there is no way in hell the motor will run like this on the stock ecu. You are going to have to change out the valve springs also since the a2 springs will fail with the higher lift cam lobes....

If you want to do this on the cheap, run a race header, skip the kpro and tuning and pickup some skunk2 stage one cams. They will run on the stock ecu and valve springs. I would also pickup some used 310cc injectors from an a2, these will also work with the stock ecu.....this setup will get you around 200whp.....If you are doing rally cross or something like that, the main thing you need is is a lsd so you are driving both wheels. Forget about a quaife and the stock honda ones, spool type lsd's kinda suck for the dirt, get a wavetrac or a clutch type lsd....I would also loose the stock suspension, look insted for some 02-04 dc5 type-s struts and springs....you will need some tierod ends from the dc5 as well to run these....the stock dc5 springs are about 40lbs stiffer than the ep3 in the front...I would also loose the stock ep3 front splash shields. They are to close to the disks and your inner front pads will cook.....

i was askin around a few months ago but didnt get too many responses but i took the ac compressor off and was told i could run a 50 1/2 or 51 1/2 inch belt, not sure which one. Do i have to remove any other pulleys to make that work and how exactly is it going to go on?

i was, what was left of it. Everything was mainly stripped and parted out by the guy Dylan i bough it off of. Front wheels were ok, back wheels got scuffed up a bit and got rocks in between the tire and rim. He sold the front and left the back on. I dont have much left cept for a drivers window, door gaskets and the carpet.
