Hey guys, I'm trying to decide between 15" or 16" rims for the girlfriend's 97 DX. At this time I'm leaning more towards the 15's but can't make a decision. Her car is white and I am wanting to go with a gold rim with a polished lip. Looking at these right now:

Wanted something a little more unique than the standard silver, black, or gunmetal that's always around here. Not very many Honda's with gold rims.

Discount Tire Direct is having a killer deal on wheels right now.
Those are only $95/pc and you get $50 back when you buy all four.
For a 6th gen, I'd get 16s.

Yea, it's an amazing deal. That's where I'll most likely be buying the rims from.
I was thinking of going 16's since the EK chassis is a little bigger than the EG, but I'm not wanting to run a thin tire since it's the girlfriend's daily driver. I know for sure that I do not want 17's. Seen too many Civics with those and they look way too big.
Did some looking and found this picture. This is almost exactly what the girlfriend's car will look like when it's done.

Yea, that's what I thought too. The gold offsets the white very nicely. That's my whole reason for not doing the usual colors because they'll blend in with the white too easily. I would rather have something that contrasts like the gold does. The polished lip sets those rims off very nicely. Most rims that are one color look too bland which is why I like the polished lip. I found those rims for 370 shipped for the 16x7 which is a very good deal. I also found the tires I want in 205/45/16 for them also.

Alright, now that we got that figured out we need to pick out valve stems and lug nuts.
Most likely the valve stems I will get the regular rubber ones and put the chrome sleeves and chrome caps on so they blend in with the polished lip. We have them at work so we should be good to go there.
As far as lug nuts go I'm not really sure. Is there any specific brand that makes strong/good ones that are of the locking style or take a special key? Also, would you guys go with gold or chrome finish?

Gorilla makes good aluminum lug nuts that come in different colors for like $60. But of course, everyone is 'jdm' and they're going to spend $150 for a set of 16 lug nuts.

It seems like Muteki and Gorilla are the most popular lug nuts to get. I was also told that the regular chrome metal ones had a tendency to rust onto the splines of the studs. Any reason for that?

Alright, so I have it figured out that I want spline drive lug nuts with closed ends and tapered seats. So at least I have the style figure out I want.
Like I said before, Muteki and Gorilla seem to be the more popular ones for cheap. I don't want to spend more than 45 dollars for a set of lug nuts, especially since they're going on a daily driver. I found the Muteki's for 35 shipped for the full set, so I'll most likely go with those. I don't see the point of spending 100+ dollars on them.
