alright so when i bought the car the oil temp gauge was not installed does anyone know how to do this it would be really kool if someone could help me out, the weather is really nice out side so it would be perfect for me to work on it and learn from you guys

if you have all the necessary hardware alot of people will use a t off where the oil filter goes and run the oil line through the fire wall and up to the gauge...

you can get a sandwich plate and tap off one of the bungs.run it into the car and hook it up to your gauge

 

You can use this and run the fitting from this to the electric sending unit if your gauge is electric, or run the tube from the sandwich if it is a mechanical gauge.

You could always unscrew your oil pressure sensor and find out what thread they are into the block and get a t and run it from there instead of purchasing the oil filter sandwich adapter.
