hey like the title says my buddy just picked him up an RSX and is going too proably order him either skunk2 coilovers or drop zone..all depending on his money...my question is does any1 have like a write up on how too instal coilovers on an RSX cause we all have a good knowledge about cars and would love to do this on our own...thanks for the help
Wow your buddy couldn't of picked better then the 2 worst coilovers made for the RSX! Junk2 and Crap Zone... tell your buddy to read up on the RSX suspension in the FAQ and he will see that he is making a big mistake with the choice of suspension!
Yeah... Skunk2 = every ricer Honda in my town.
I think the lowest quality coil over I'd rock is Megan Racing. The S2000 guys love them for some reason. Haha.
Does your buddy really HAVE to have coilovers? If not you can get a set of Konis and springs for like 800ish dollars depending on how much you shop around and bargin. Or rock some Koni yellows and ground control coilover sleeves (the only sleeves I'd spend money on). Just keep in mind, every time you lower or raise the vehicle you are throwing of your alignment settings so you are going to have to reallign your vehicle. If you don't think you'll ever raise and lower it just rock one good set of Eibach springs.
Hope that helps on making a decision to pick up a better quality part.

hey great help guys..didnt know skunk 2 was bad coilovers for his RSX..so if anything he should do a coilover and shock setup....yeah ill have him look into that and try and find a good setup
to tell you the truth, if the budget fits then rock em'. when they blow (which they will) then he will have to get a better setup. i love D2's but some may disagree. they are a couple hundred more. when you buy them, install them and keep the reciept of when you purchased them so if they blow you will have the manufactures warranty (1 year) if you are still within the window. just ride them hard in autoX or whatever you do. install is pretty straight forward. they come with easy install instructions and brackets if you need to adjust your brake lines and other hardware. also look into ksports. good luck.

Ksport, D2, Skunk2 and the old version of the Megan coilover have the same problem... they are all crap for the EP3 and the DC5!
Remember if you are going to do something when it comes to suspension do it right the first or just don't do it at all! If it means saving up an extra 2 weeks save up and get something of quality like Progress... there kit is like 900 some dollars and they are much better then any of the mentioned above!

you should probably download the helm's manual, its pretty much the Bible and will instruct you how to take apart the car like lego's
Three bolts under the hood and two bolts behind the hub. Pretty easy just take off your wheel and take a look. Oh yeah and there is one bold connected to a sway bay thats about mid way between the top of the shock and bottom of the hub.
i wanna down-loaddd this helm's manual. i like playing with legos where can i get this thing you speak of? lol jk but foreal where?
