hi, im looking to get a b16 head for porting, i found one locally and want to inspect it for core shift, can anyone post a pic of a head with bad core shift so i'll know what i'm looking for? tnx :-)

Good post Marcin. Most b16 heads will have shift in the direction of the first pic.

some a6 heads have it left to right (or was it right to left)

Heads with bad core shift are great candidates for bigger valves.

hahaha not really.. or i was just lucky.. the casting flaw on the sides.. usually early heads have it less than later heads.. "usually"
