it's a spring pin....closest you can get to make the shufting assembly feel like one piece without welding the linkage to the tranny

this is a role pin that presses through the shift fork and linkage to hold it in place this looks correct when you get under the car you will see the link. has 2 bars one held on by a bolt with a large washer the other slides onto the shift fork and this pin presses in to hold it... what ever you do dont use a nut and bolt it will make the shifter very sloppy. once you hammer the pin in there is a clip that goes around the bar to keep the pin from coming out if you need any more help e mail me at hondahvn@hotmail.com

I found the easiest way to remove or insert the "bitch pin" is with an impact hammer, about 120psi, and an 8mm punch attachment. Takes about 2 seconds and doesn't brake a thing if you are careful.

ill second that.. i was in the middle of my swap and lost that pin so i found a bolt that fit it fine.. only the gears were *sloppy* and i had no idea why.. had my man that works at a shop look at it for me puzzled as to what i broke in the tranny till the car was up on the lift and he pointed it out for me.. he gave me a spare one he has layin around he overnighted a new one from honda for less than 10 bux.. saved me a new tranny and some headaches
