hello i order a b16a1 for my 89 crx dx come to find out they gave me the 2gen but with cable trans and when asked if it will still work they said the changed the dizzy to obdo and gave me the first gen ecu obdo will that work if the dizzy is odbo when the motor is a 2nd gen and if so how do you wire the ecu and all the wires we already converted to an si harness from my stock dx harness please any input with help out alot thank you

 

if the b16 is a 2nd gen then you have an obd1 motor .....so if you have an obd1 ecu just buy the obd1 dizzy and your good to go. good luck hit me up if you have any questions.

 

Just get a chipped p28 from phearable.net, and their OBD-0 to OBD-1 conversion harness and dizzy jumper harness and your good to go

 

make sure you have obd0 injectors in there or you'll need to yank out your resistor box.

 

i am really not sure the block said b16a the place i bought the motor from are telling me everything they sent out will work for my car but i am getting the run around from the guy that is putting it in he is saying i need all this other stuff and before i dish out more money i just wanna make sure its for the stuff i need

 

99% sure that you need hydrolic tranny for b16a second gen. tell place you bought it from to either swap the engine or the tranny. i know theres a cable to hydro converter you can buy for tranny, but you shouldnt have to waste any more of your money after paying $1200+ for your swap.
