Default b16a1 and 700$ to spend

I recently bought a b16a1 to swap into my 95 hatchback. In addition to the money needed for the swap i will have about 700$ to spend on additional parts. Anyone have any good suggestions on what to get? I already have and after market intake and manifold. The car is going to be NA for quite sometime as well.

what are you looking for?

performance? - Id say full exhaust to go with intake and manifold, and new spark plugs.
looks? - some decent rims with nice stickies on 'em
handling? - Nice full coilover suspension setup.

i have included hasport mounts into installation costs already. My main plan is to go for perormance now, then suspension, followed by looks.

I consider you already have an i/h/e, if not start with those as they are simple, but for other serious parts you would need to have a larger budget than 700,

the cheapest way to gain some substantial performance would be doing a crvtec build, you can a get a b20 for 500 on average, the crvtec kit for 200-300, the head mahchined for a crvtec for 150, arp studs for 100,and a tune for 250 making it possible to easily notice quite a difference in performance for about 1250! you will get over a 35whp gain and that number is considering your b16 is stock

then you can sell your b16shortblock and get some money back

Get a decent 4-1 header, regardless your gonna have to get some kind of exhaust to make the set up work.

Grab a no name ebay light weight flywheel. Aftermaket LSD is a significant improvment. Also you should consider a grounding kit, something else many people look over.

Since its a 1st gen, i'd upgrade 3 things....

Get a better intake manifold

Get rid of the smaller 58mm throttle body

Get rid of the weakest of all the vtec cams, those found in the 1st gen B16A

Thanks for the input guys. Im kinda stuck with the b16a1, im in germany for the near future and the market for honda b-series is very small. I am definately thinking on some new cams. The cost is kinda high for this swap, other than buying used parts anyone have any other ideas on how i might be able to cut some cost on this swap?
