well my buddy has a 93 civic....but has no computer....so he wanted me to ask you guys why is his car grinding everytime he goes into third gear. no matter what he does it always grinds going into third...only 3rd does it....

 

syncro, research it. and try putting gm synco mesh into the trans it wont fix it but it will help the grind a little.

 

its his synchros in his transmission....try searching for your problem before you post...you will have to take apart the transmission and replace the syncrhos if he wants it to stop. That or he can try a fluid called "synchro-mesh" made by GM....good luck

lol, after racing my car dam 3rd started doing the same ****. i put lucas heavy duty oil stabilizer, but their was no fixing it it was to late. its the synchros in the tranny.



if anybody know let me know how easy it is to fix this cause my tranny and engine is out right now.

yes, you might as well tell your friend to buy a new tranny.


he can drive on it for a long time but it gets annoying when it grinds.
