Default Alarms

Just wondering what everyone is using in their R's. I'm planning on getting a new alarm system hopefully you guys can help. I was thinking about the new Viper or Clifford alarm.

If you're looking at the Viper and Clifford two-way alarms, they're both the same thing. Both companies are owned by DEI. IMO, the best two-way alarm out on the market right now is made by CompuStar. Something I'd look into if I were you.

I have to be honest, i used to be a compustar wholesale dealer and i would definitely stick with DEI aka Viper. If you really want Compustar, only use a 2W900FM and get a GREAT INSTALLER that does Compustar exclusively, not DEI, it's like bringing a mac to a pc programmer, totally different beasts...but don't think ANY alarm will protect an R, you'll need quite a bit more than that.....imo

It's all about the install when doing an alarm. I suggest you visit the Audio/Security forum.
