so i got this 91 hatch a few months back, i think in october. i traded a 94 buick century even up for it. not in bad shape, but not mint either. i've been putting together a swap for it. a 95 ls swap to be exact. my plans for it is boost. maybe 10 psi or so. i'd like to at least hit the 300 hp. mark. so here goes.... here's what it looked like when i bought it.

that mileage, as far as i know, is orginal engine and trans.

here's what it looks like currently. i'm getting the body work done. and trust me, there is lots of it too. i had no idea such a little car could have so much rust...lol.
here's what it looked like after i spray bombed it. right now its under the knife, getting a REAl paint job. it'll look nice i think when its done. i'm going with a midnight blue metallic.

i'm the sexy fat *** in the green shirt. lol.

and this is now, as of yesterday afternoon.

this is behind the reflector in the rear. it was baad. but with a cutoff tool and some putty ****, it'll be a-ok!

feel free to comment, flame, criticize, give your opinion, or whatever! feedback is always welcome here. thanks for lookin!!

ok, here's some more pictures i got. just some random things.
here's my ebay coilovers. yeah, yeah, i know go ahead and say it, lol.

my ls head from a 95 teg.

here's my ef/b hasport shift linkage, with energy suspension bushings, and no name ef/b series mounts, got a good deal on them, 120 for both!

here's my b16 cable transmission

here's my piston rings, water pump and p75 ecu

and here's the gauges i chose to use. glowshift tinted series. there is oil pressure, and air/fuel ratio. i have the matching boost gauge, but i'm not putting that in yet. it'll be na for a while before i boost it.

thanks for looking, i hope to get more pics of the car this evening when i stop in and check on things.

thanks for the comments guys! tonite i got a chance to work on it a little bit. ripped one fender off, and put a new one on. its coming along very nicely. here's some pics i got this evening.
this is the front bumper, obviously huh? since i plan on going boost eventually, the grill was cut out. i think it looks pretty good. and it'll look even better painted. the license plate holes are being shaved also, they look tacky.

a door shot.

just a shot of the door area.

right rear quarter. there used to be a fairly large rust hole, but not any more!

here's a shot of the back of the car.

a roof shot.

left front fender/bay shot. the bay will be semi painted now. but when the engine comes out, its getting painted completely.

another hood shot

OMG!! where's my fender?? lol

right here....

huge hole, repaired.

i think at one point the car was keyed, HARD. you can kinda see the mark still, but its smooth!

another roof shot.

all the lights, molding, window's, and other ****. lol.

cleaning up the fender area, before installation. (my buddy scott)

well, i think thats all from tonight. i'll keep this thread updated as often as i can, and thanks again for the comments, it gives me the warm fuzzy's. lol, just kiddin!

lol. i'm not keeping the stock suspension with egay coilovers forever. besides. when i bought them, it was only for a budget build. but, plans change. i will replace the shocks eventually, but not right now. i'm buying other stuff. and this is still kinda on a budget, lol. ehh, body work and paint should be done by late next week. there's still some repairs that need done to it.
come on....updates! i know you were at the shop tonight! where's the updates?????

all right, here's some updates. lol. the egay coilovers were going to be put on tonite, buutt, they don't fit in the cups, and i tried everything to make them work. so i think stock is ok for now, and when i get the money, i'll go with maybe ground controls, or something like that. i've never painted before, other than spray bombing. its not hard, you just have to find a technique that works for you. i have yet to find that! here's some more pics, primer and stuff.
here's a shot of the front, primered.

hood after sanding. this thing must have been painted a few times, we found two layers of white, and my yellow, and a red under there too.

underside of the hood after primer.

underside of hood again.

first time i've ever painted. not perfect, and needed some extra care, but turned out great!

the bumper needs re-sanded and sprayed again. but looks ok.

painting with my "teacher" mark. great body repair man by the way!

mixin some paint. hmm, who's gonna have a clean shnoz tonight? lol.

here's the bumper with the mk3 lip on it. unpainted.

another bumper shot. damn, i take too many pictures huh?

the primered wing.

thinking about cutting into this before i paint it, but not sure yet... here you go andy, an ef with a sunroof for ya! lol.

well, thats all for tonight. keep the comments coming! if anyone has any advice for a novice painter, let me hear them. i'm open to any suggestions. thanks again!!
