Default More wheel or more tires?

The answer is depends on the wheel and tire.

I don't know which tire or wheel yet. Just thinking about it at this point.

In general, which weights more, wheel or tire?

Let's assume the same wheel design of different size. Same width at 6.5. So 15X6.5 and 16X6.5.

215/45/16
205/55/16
195/60/15 - OEM
205/60/15
215/50/15

Don't want to go larger than 16 or wider than 215.

Some 16s are 7" wide. So generally, how much more does .50" wider weigh?

Cliff: What weighs more, rubber or metal?

If you're not tracking your car in competition, it won't matter.
