Default Safety on an LS Turbo Setup?

Hey guys, just a quick question. How safe is it to run a stock LS motor w/ a turbo set up. Ive been reading up on what others have for theirs, but i wanna know how much can you push a stock LS with stock internals, and all that. I'm only a junior in highschool, but in the near future i plan on boosting my hatch for a toy haha :]. If there any suggestions or idea's on what to do, and how much power i can get out, and most important, the safety. I'm actually not concerned about running 12 second quarters, but i want a reliable turbo honda, without sleeving my block. I daily drive the car, just want some general information for the future. I know that it is safe to run the car on 6psi, but thats too general for me, i want to read more into it. Thanks guys!

-Jaybee

P.S. I have a b16 transmission, idk if that effects anything, but its just really short gearing, maybe thats why the car is kinda quick already ha!

its all in the tune and how much power you want to make.. there is a ls turbo thread, you sould look through that thread and you will find a lot of ppls setups and what they did with factory motors..

there are books you can find in Barnes and Noble and other book stores I picked one up for my del sol. They have dyno charts and different setups what psi they are running and everything. Pretty cool to give you ideas of what setup you want. If you want to read up on the physics side there are also books about the breakdown of fuel and air in turbo systems and nitrous systems you could do mathmatically how much WHP/boost with what kindo of fuel..

My opinion would guess that anything over 300 would be pushing it

what turbo are you running?? there is a big difference in a garrett T7 and snail from the back porch.

6 psi looking at 220 hp thats just a wild guess
