I just talked to kens kustom chassis and his kit comes with the windshield bar, is it necessary to install it and the cage still get cert'd. Basically, is that bar required? or can I just have everything else installed and leave that one out.....sorry if this is noob question. Its my first cage

If it has to stay in, what has to be removed from behind the dash pad?

you do not need a windshield bar to pass cert. there are stipulations as to when its required such as when some of the floor is cut out... in your case for a stock eg; no, you do not need it.
