Default d16y8 swap trouble

i just recently put a d16y8 into a 91 civic hatch. i was told it would drop in and hook up by a couple of people but that was way off point, this is my first swap so i am pretty new to this. the motor is mounted in and everything and is hooked up for the most part. i hear alot of different **** from different people so i am lost. it wants to start but won't turn over. not fast or slow the car will do the rrr-rrr-rrr-rrr. it has been sitting in an apartment parking lot for almost 3 months. i really need to get it to start or sell it before it gets towed. anyone know what might be wrong? and i think the dizzy might have something todo with it. there is no spark. and will i need to get the ecu and all that ****?i am told i can run it off what i have which is obd0

If you are running OBD-0 then you will need to use the OBD0 MPFI distributor, ECU and one wire O2 and maybe the OBD0 alternator. You will also need to locate the IAT into the intake arm.

Everything else should wire up except vtec since you won't be using an ECU that supports it. You will have to use an RPM activated switch, manually activate it, or run a chipped ECU.
