Clifford 50.5x into 94 GSR Questions
Hey, i have a couple questions. I'm working on trying to put the Clifford 50.5x into my 1994 DB8. took everything off a donor car i bought. i'm hoping it still works. should right? anyways so i've been searching so this is what i have so far and what i'm hoping to do.
1. so i'm hoping to just basically have keyless entry, shock sensor, tilt sensor, hood pin. so i depinned everything. Does anyone know if i missed a wire? or if i need extra?
2. and i'm guessing i don't need this whole box cause i'm not doing remote start?
3. another question is if i wanted to do the trunk release, would i need to buy the trunk release solenoid or can i just repin this wire and just run it to the right wire?
4. is this the only wire i need from the ribbon to attach to the blk/yel ignition wire?
5. on the shock sensor, why is this wire cut and looped in? and how would i go about adding extra sensors?
Thanks for the help in advance.

You are so far correct.
however I would put the blue wire back in the primary for trunk pin.
if u have the other plug which has a grey, brown, blue/white strip, ect.. <---use the grey for hood pin trigger.
in the ribbon cable I would keep the yellow for igntion and the orange/black strip for starter disable.
for the trunck release u would need a motor and a relay.
the red/white strip is not strong enough to power a motor.
and as for the loop in the shock senor wire the orange wire is both a warning and trigger
same for the left over blue wire.
meaning if the triger is less than .x seconds then its a warning if the trigger is long than .x seconds than it's a full trigger.<---only works with dei shock/radar senors.
simply the left over blue wire is great for more sensors.

Well first do you have a back up battery? If not this should be one of the first items that you should have. I would also repin the blue instant trigger wire back into the harness. Tie the trunk into the the door pin. Use the instant trigger wire for the back up battery. You want that to be on its own trigger because if it shared with the hood. And a theif leaves it open it will bypass that zone.
sweet thanks for the input. but i'm still unclear about how to add additional sensors on to the alarm. can you clarify that a little bit more? and until i get the rest of the things here, the back up battery, other sensors. can the alarm be hooked up the way i have it to have keyless for the time being and a very basic alarm setup?
