i have a b16a2 and just found out two of my valve guides are leaking. other than burning oil will this hurt my motor at all or loose power? does anyone know or havee the same problem

 

well anytime you are trying to burn anything other than gasoline, yeah it may be down a little on power, may not even be noticable.

just keep on top of the oil level and you shouldnt have any issues.

 

okay so your burning a bit of oil because of leaky lavel seals. Its no big deal I have owned cars that when I pulled in to a service station I had them check the gas and fill up the oil. I have never had an engine die because of it like posted already just keep an eye on the oil and you will be fine

 

will they get much worse over time

 

your guides are probably wearing out also. if thats the case yes it will get worse in time.

 

i wonder what happens to the cat with all the oil going through!
