Quick fix...help?
I have a 92 eg hatch and was rear-ended...3 times in a year. I decided to sell the car. So I bought a new car, and threw the car on craig's list. I had a bunch of people lined up to look at it tonight, but I had a change of heart. I cannot give up on my hatch. Does anyone know a cheap/quick fix to repair internal damage? I have no frame damage luckily, but the metal in the back is rippled and has two holes from the stress/shock. This is something I was hoping to do myself and as cheaply as possible. Can anyone give me some suggestions?
No, I don't know what to call it, but where the spare goes in the hatch. All of the metal was rippled from the impact(s). I don't really even know if it is worth fixing seeing how I have never been trying to make this into a show car, but if it is something I could fix I could get a rebuilt title. I know I could always bondo the holes, but not sure about the rest...it would be a lot to pound out. I may just say screw it and buy another shell and swap everything over, which is what I would prefer to do, but I haven't had the best of luck finding a reasonably priced shell.
I kinda figured, but was looking to see if maybe anyone had been rear ended and had similar problems. It looks really bad on the inside, outside it looks like the corner of my bumper came unhinged. the woman that hit me was taken away by ambulance..i walked away. Hit three times and she is still running strong.
