vtec bearings vs non vtec
I know the gsr crank uses i believe bigger bearings than the ls block . with my lsvtec i want to get the best bearing i can possibly get, or will allow more oil around the crank and bearings ?? any opinions can you use the vtec ones?
i was planing on sending the crank with the rods and bearings to check clearances also....anything can be done for better clearance...sorry if i make no sense>>

if a certain engine has a wider main, you can't use it on a different engine. just stick with whatever bearings are meant to be for your bottom end. and there are tweaks you can do to bearings, but stock will probably do you just fine
LS/GSR/B16/ITR/B20 main bearings are all the same. Uniform clearances within Honda specifications with Honda bearings will get you a solid bottom end.
oem Honda or acl are both good just get your clearance's right and you will be fine and like they said stick with the bearings made for your motor you can not use gsr rod bearings on ls rods mains are same
Definitly can't go wrong with OEM honda bearings tho!

he said LS/GSR/B16/ITR/B20 main bearings are all the same. the rod bearings are difrent
so acl main and rod bearings.. and would they need anything else at the machine shop to check the clearances besides the rods ,crank and bearings them self? or i would need the whole block to check the mains ?
