Default Clevite bearings

I'm in the process to build a B20Vtec and wondered if anyone have used clevite (rod and main)bearings.

From what ive heard they are good. just like ACLs. a guy i know that builds motors at a machine shop said hes opened acl boxes and had some clevite bearings and opened clevite boxes and had some acl bearings in there. So im guessin theyre pretty much the same thing..Dont take my word for it tho

Personally I would stick with oem honda bearings, just use b16a rod bearings instead of ls/b20 rodbearings. Unless you have all greens for your mains and rods

Thanks for your reply. I haven't opened up engine yet. I had experience with clevite on 4age engine and they are very reliable, so I though of using them in this engine. Plans are to rev. up to 8500rpm.
