Fan Belt Help???

hey guys, my car makes a weird noise when u first start the car and when the A/C is on. It lasts for about 5-10 seconds, then its alrite. It sounds like a belt, do u guys have any input. Thanks in advance.

How loose is your AC belt? Does it have a lot of mileage on it? Could be old and slightly stretched. Could also be overtight...

thanks, i thought it was stretched, took it to shop and they tightened it, worked alrite for a while, now the same noise... wasted 3 hrs in a waiting room... *sigh*
