how to check the check engine light??

im new here and was wanting to know how to check the light can you guys help me???

Pull back passenger side carpet under the dashboard and count how many times the light flashes. short=1 long = 10

what do the number of flashs mean?? is there a chart?

that lets u know wat code ur throwing... plenty of charts out there..jus do a search for obd0 trouble codes or something along those lines and i gur-an-t u will find wat ur lookin 4!

1 short flash = 1

1 long flash = 10

Add it together, you get the code
