Whats the spec for JDM Vtec 2.3L H23A TYPE s?

Are you sure? Why would both the H22 and H23 VTEC both have 200hp?

 

The H23 has higher torque and lower redline.

 

Making the price of a JDM H23A an even worse value than I even thought before. I thought it had 220ps.

 

Anything with the acronym "JDM" attached to it is never a good value to begin with.

 

actually jdm H22's are dirt cheap...

but the H23 is quite a bit more because its rare...

but yes, i'm sure it only has 200 hp

 

I've checked through the Japanese automotive year guide book..
there isnt a single record regarding this engine

horse power should be above 200..

 

maybe you should go look at the honda of japan site then stfu

 

H23 is 160 HP !! in the Prelude Si

H22 Type S in the Prelude Type S is 220 HP !!

 

jdm h23a...not usdm...much different

sorry to bring up an old topic but these things are going for 1900 us roughly... thats not 5k.

makes it a bit more interesting.

 

oh yeah and drop the ghetto type s ****, no such animal (or engine for that matter).

it is just a h23a 2.3liter vtec (out of european and japanese model accord wagon).
I do not know the true specs though... I would suspect more torque cause the extra displacement and bodystyle they put it in, also a lower redline like 6800-7k on a guess, and little less hp cause less compression then a h22 however still decent like 190-200 hp though.

 

uhh, some wrong information has been floating around...a h23 is NOT 200hp..jdm or usdm, how could they both be the same hp rating ? whats the gain in that ? take a look at this...( yes i've posted this in a diff thread but these people need some help too )

again, read the hp ratings for each...the top is jdm prelude type s, the bottom is usdm prelude se/si's ( although i've never seen an se ). Not trying to be a dick, but you cant help people with the wrong info.

 

Hey be a bit more open minded... this is not the usdm h23a or the supposed jdm h23 (actually a dohc f22 but hey) found in the 92-96 prelude.

This is a dohc 2.3liter vtec also designated h23a... from the 99+ european sir/t wagon. check it out yourself.
