Default TpS Sensor gives negative readings

Hi I have an issue with the TPS sensor. It is giveing Negative READINGS.
like 5 volts on power wire
0-0.2 volts on ground wire
0.5 volts at closed throttle to 4.5 volts
but in negative for ex -5volts my honda is a japan import and i had bought a skunk2 throttle body from U.S I Think its a R.H.D to L.H.D issue cause my mech had tried it with 2 diff multimeters 3 throttle bodies and 2 Tps sensors. the car works fine just negative readings on the new throttle body. Any help will be appricated thx

Sounds like you have the leads from the multimeter backwards. I know on mine if I put the Neg lead to a positive source it will read a negative voltage.

the multimeter reading is fine cause my mech tried it with 2 diff multimiters and 3 throttle U.S bodies 2 Japanies and 1 and 2 tps sensors. The Jap Throttle bodies gave positve readings while the U.S throttle body Skunk2 70mm gave negative readings.

just switch the toothpick things around, then it'll read positive again. The tps is fine. I've never heard of a japanese tps sensor reading opposite.

To be more accurate

My car is a Honda Del Sol SIR japanese import. The engine is a B16, the ecu for now is an obd1 but i bought an AEM EMS cause i made a turbo upgrade, the throttle body is a Skunk 2 70mm
My mech has done the test on 2tps sensors (both japanese) and 3 throttle bodies (2japanese and 1 U.S)
when he uses the jap throttle bodies the readings are with in
4.5 volts.
readings:
5 volts on power wire
0-0.2 volts on ground wire
0.5 volts at closed throttle to 4.5 volts at WOT on the signal wire.
when he uses the U.S throttle body the reading are with in this range but negative like
-4.5volts

The car performance isint affected it works fine

maybe cause its right hand drive not left hand drive? even the throttle cabel is different

I don't think even you know what your talking about.positive or negative, it doesn't matter. as long as it's 4.5 and .5. Unless, by a rare rare, never heard of before chance. that honda, released a car, with a major tps defect. other than that then no need to worry.

Thats why i posted this question cause it is very strange that it gave me the readings in negative and i wanted to know if some one had the same problem. The thing is that the car works fine.
