Default spark plug replacement help

Hello all-

My car is having issues turning on, it cranks as if it almost is, but never fires. I figure I'll try changing the plugs. Does anyone have this info for a 95 ex cpe civic?

Gap of plugs:
Size and length of rubber socket:
what type of plugs that the factory ones are?

I heard NOT to ever gap certain plugs, (I think platnium)? Is this correct? But the factory ones are ok to gap since they are irridium?

Thanks!

If you are certain that it is the plugs at fault, replace them with some NGK or Denso iridum plugs. NGKs are preferable. Do not gap them. They should be gapped just fine from the box unless they were dropped on the floor.

Get NGK V-Power's; model number ZFR5J-11. You WILL need to check the gap (.044), regardless of whether they a "pre-gapped" or not. I just replaced my plugs a few weeks ago, and they were supposed to be pre-gapped but they weren't. I believe they were closer to .035 when I pulled them out of the box (all 4 of them). I wasn't e ven going to check the gap, but I'm glad I did.

why do you need the size and length of the rubber socket? What are you talking about? But yeah whoever is supposed to gap those things sucks they are never right. I usually gap mine a little wider then what they says because as long as your engine burns clean and if you check them somewhat regularly it will be a much better spark. The only thing is if you set them a little wider over time you have to close the gap a little bit.

Yup, it is good to always check them because you never know! Just look under the hood and it will say 1.1mm.

As far as the rubber socket, do you mean the socket that has that rubber piece in it to pull a spark plug out? The size is 5/8.

might not be your plugs, is your firing order correct? cap and rotor still in good condition? timing? is your fuel pump purging? double check those things? put your spark plugs onto the spark plug wire and ground it, have somebody look as you crank your engine to see if you have any spark?
