Default Need some transmission info!

I have a 1991 Civic hatch with a b16a2 swapped from a 1999 Si. I'm currently running the stock b16 tranny with a HUGE 6 puck clutch. The clutch has absolutely DESTROYED the tranny. Luckily, my step brother left behind a Honda tranny in the shed. I can't find what kind of tranny it is, but my dad believes it's a GSR. If someone can help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it. I have the numbers off of it, but still can't find anything on it. The main sticker on the tranny reads "S20-2127634" and there is a smaller sticker to the left of it that reads "C5F P20." If anyone can give me some info or point me in the direction of how to identify the tranny by the numbers, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Those pucked clutches are generally cheaper than the regular street discs, from what I've seen in the past. I've been out of the game for a while now. If the pucked clutch has a sprung disc, then it's not that bad on a stock motor (especially if you're going to build it up for power later). It's the unsprung pucked discs that are gruesome on a stock tranny/flywheel, etc. My flywheel after 5K miles looked like my brake rotors after 30K miles LULZ.

S20 = 98+ GSR/Si Hydro transmission. Look at the diff teeth and you can count the number with revolutions.

6-puck cluch should be fine, but make sure your pressure plate isn't too heavy or that will cause the a lot of stress on the transmission main shaft.

Thanks DRAMA. I was really hoping it was a GSR tranny. I've been told that a b16 coupled with a GSR tranny will yield good results.

I bought the car with the 6 puck in it. The kid was using it for racing. The clutch is definatley meant for running up the rpms and dumping the clutch. But it's no good for daily driving.

Also, if anyone can give me the gear ratios for that, it'd save me a lot of digging. I'm just curious as to the ratios and was planning on doing some looking around to find that info. I'm planning on putting the tranny in with a 4 puck clutch to lighten the impact of the clutch, but still be able to handle some good race time. I have some other mods planned for the car. Let me know what you guys think.

i was just reading this now, and the C5F P20 transmission is from a single cam motor. it's either a 92-95 cx/dx. the gsr is S80.
