VTC places 2nd at the IDRC Hurricane Nat's!!!
Track racing oWNZ! I've been street racing for a long time and yea it's cool, but nothing beats the crowds and the racing that goes on during the events, this was awesome! I also got to compete in the "Super Street" class in the Integra along with a fellow club member in his Grand Am. We wound up meeting in the 2nd round of eliminations when I knocked him out (he was having car problems all day) and I worked my way through some locally well known competition to make it all the way to the finals! I dialed in at 15.5 and ran a 15.505, he dialed in at 16.77 and ran a 16.81, but.. by virtue of his .58 R/T vs. my .71, he won the race by a total of .08 seconds!
Ahhhh! I missed a $500 payday by less than .1 seconds to a Ford Explorer, but the experience and $200 for R/U was still very well worth it.
I highly suggest you street racers give track/bracket racing a try, this stuff is adicting!
BTW, my best E.T for the weekend was a 15.44 @ 92mph, best 60' was a 2.38, but on that run (which was about .2 faster than my 15.44 at the 1/8th and 1000') I had to tap the brakes to avoid breaking out! Almost had me a 15.2 there!

how was the weather, did that play a major role in some times. I thought that you've run some much faster times than that. how much boost. I'm just curious because i managed a 15.2 @90 with my tranny starting to finally go out on me. But i'm glad your into the track now. It's fun as hell, you get to meet new people, you can still place bets and there are a ton of women.
