Which brakes would you get?
Im down to 2 brakes and i cant decide between these two:
Akebono ISD Premium ceramics:
http://www.placeforbrakes.com/produc...&car_year=2004
or
Akebono Proact Premium ceramics:
http://www.placeforbrakes.com/produc...&car_year=2004
ill be using them for just daily driving and want a quiet smooth brake with good initial bite.
Is there even a difference between these two? I cant find many reviews online.
THanks guys.

If you want a good pad for just daily driving with some extra bit I would really consider looking at the Hawk HPS... You won't regret going with those pads and they are alot better then the 2 you found!
Hawks for the win, i looked at the prices you have on there and those brakes are pretty price for having no assurance that they are worth the money, Hawks which i use for daily and auto x have done very well, and dont squeak ... plus you can find them for a better price all around ... my advise is the same as above replys ... Hawks ftw, but its still up to you ...

I'm looking for some brake pads too. Do the Hawks usually get a lot of brake dust? I hate the when I see people with super dirty front wheels and clean rear wheels because of all the brake dust from performance pads lol.

I love my carbotech ax6's, I haven't had a chance to try out my XP10's.
The Hps would be good for mix of daily driving and occasional aggressive driving.

I got the regular Hawk Ceramic pads and have been very pleased with them. DC5nation beat CRSX's price on them too.
Honestly though, I wouldn't change to another brand unless you get a cheaper price than OEM. Since you said you just daily drive, there is really no need to get a "track/street" pad. Tires will do more for braking than brake pads. That's why I just stuck with the Hawk Basic Ceramic pads. They dust the same as OEM would and overall braking feels improved.

about a 2min course is HELLA fun, and if your run gets interrupted, you get to go again without much of a break in between so i think thats a pretty long enough time to heat up those pads, dont you think
... but they arent all that long
ive actually heard of them, but i dont know too much about them either, plus if you havent noticed above im running Hawk Hp+ pads as well ... LOL ... i just felt alittle bad for not helping PLUM, thats all ...

its my job, i own a shop.. lol and yeah ive done all kinds of **** to try and get them to quiet down, hell even scuffed them and the rotors again to see if the bed in went badly, our other rsx runs them and it squeaks too but not as bad, its on stock rotors the one thats worse has brembos.. idk what to tell ya.. ive ran hps pads on the cars and never heard a peep..idk. hawk says they do that.. i just took their word for it, now im kinda wondering..
i agree with them squeaking if they arent warmed up cause anything thats not completely oem spec for your car usually squeaks, most cars that ive found with aftermarket brakes squeak, not too much to always notice but they do to some point, but for some reason mine dont and im running on stoptech slotted and x drilled rotors (i know i shouldnt have both but thats not the point right now, ive learned my lesson about that) ... anyway Hawk says their pads dont squeak on a daily grind? well i guess my car proves that ... lol
