you could get some aem pulleys, a aem intake of some sort, 2.5 exhuast and a high flow cat, i mean those are the basic upgrades to be made to any engine, as far as the header goes toda replica or rmf narrow replica are cheaper then most but if you got the money get a bisimoto header or smsp.

oh my fuggin god this forum is a broken record. the only replies you will ever see are as follows

1. "get a toda replica"
2. "skunk2 pro 1s"

so sandiesorgsx, how many motors have you put that header on and had success? what header was on it previously? what was the build quality of the replica? o did you just read that in the other 40 threads and repeat it?

damn its so old.

if your budget is a grand, and your motor is a CTR, you can do better than a shelf header or a copy of a shelf header. but that was not the point i was making.

i am just tired of seeing the same mindless regurgitation over and over and over and over again. if there is "16" in the title, the first ****in response is ALWAYS "toda copy". even if the person saying it has never owned a 16 or a toda or maybe even a honda.

back on track, to OP with a decent aftermarket header you'll generally see 5-15 whp gains throughout your powerband.

Just my $.02, but since the motor is virtually stock I would take that 1K and spend it on an ITR header & a larger than stock exhaust.
