Default Need opinions for a 88 civic hatch

I kinda asked this in the 4g forum but I wanted to get you guys' opinions. This is a 88 plain civic 1.5L not si or dx. I am interested in doing a swap. I want turbo and MAYBE nitrous one day. What engine and tranny do you recommend and why? I would like to avoid welding new mounts, but using different brackets is fine. BTW what is the difference between a 1st gen B16a and a 2nd gen one?

Thanks for your opinions

I think your best bet would be just do do a First gen B16a swap, they are relatively cheap, and it is a good starter motor, and you will definately feel the jump from what u have now. B16's arent the best motors in my mind, but ive had several of them, and i beleive that it would be the best motor for your application, being the availability of mounts and 1st gen motors these days.. The differece between a forst gen and second gen b16 motor is that the first gen is from a jdm 88-91 civic or a 90-93 xsi ( i think) A second gen motor is from Dohc Vtec Del Sols (again, i think), a second gen may also be from a jdm 92-95 sir or sirII...
