I'm in the process of painting my car but my front bumper is looking pretty bad from all of the rock chips and what not. I wanted to know what type of OEM replacement bumper brands would be the best? I heard some are better than others. I heard some don't fit well or they need to be left in the sun to "Stretch" a little to get it to fit better and what-not. My crx is an 88 So I wanted to but a 90-91 rear bumper and maybe even a front bumper on it... Would they bolt on directly? Thanks again Honda-Tech!
Oh and Should I remove the side moldings to paint the car? My friend whose painting the car told me that he could still paint the car with the moldings on, But recommends I take them off. Can they come off without me having to actually take off the door panels to pull the tabs out or will they come out without breaking if I pulled them off??

IMO the best replacement would be either from a junkyard or someone selling the parts that you are looking for and they are oem. Those taiwan bumpers and all the other knockoff ones i don't really trust, i bought one of those for my moms eg hatch and the fitment is horrible. as far as the moldings you will probably have to take the door panels off if you don't want to break the tabs. If where you take the car to get painted they don't take them off themselves then I would suggest taking them off yourself, also the sideview mirrors, door handles, etc...
the door trims will have too come off too remove the side trims(takes like 5 mins a side) as the clips are a pain in the *** lol. if u try remove them from out side without taking door cards off the clips will brake and mouldings will bend out shape.
Um, I couldn't reach the molding clips even with my door panel off. Just get a butter knife and take it off carefully, it will be worth your time

I think I am going to find an OEM replacement instead of a knock off replacement... Will a 90-91 Front and rear bumper directly bolt on though??
