This is what you need.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002Q8TTG

Get that tool and attach a 1/2 ratchet or breaker bar to it so that it is wedged against the ground or against some non-movable underbody car part.

Get a 1/2" extension which is 24" long and a 3 foot pipe to fit on the end of your 1/2" ratchet or breaker bar. Support the ratchet with a jackstand, put the pipe over the ratchet or breaker bar and just give it a pull. It will break it off pretty easily.

If you are going to use a ratchet instead of breaker bar make sure it is good quality or better yet something with a lifetime warranty. My craftsman didn't break but that is a lot of torque to put on that thing.

What you need is a "Good air impact". I Busted off the axle nuts and crank bolt like nothing with the one we have at work.

Drive the car to a mechanic with a big dog impact have him bust it loose. Then tighten it back up a little bit and go back home.

Edit: I didnt read your last post. Lol

You can pull the starter off and stick the biggest screw driver you can find in between the clutch and the transmission case. I had to do this on my car because I didn't have an impact wrench or that special tool for pulling off the crank pulley. It worked for me when I pulled off the pulley and when it came time tighten it back up. Hope this helps. Good luck.

you dont need a timing gun for cam timing.
and a bad compressor or weak gun wont do.
those crank pulley bolts are on @ 130ft/lbs.

Here are directions for a homemade tool: http://honda.lioness.googlepages.com...eyholdingtools. I have used the tool with success around half a dozen times on my two Civics.

That bolt is the conventional right-hand thread, so righty-tighty, lefty-loosy. IOW, rotate COUNTER clockwise to free. It typically requires 300 to 600 ft-lbs of torque to free, even though, on installation, it is typically spec'd to be torqued down in the neighborhood of 150 ft-lbs. The threads on this bolt are super fine, so they tend (by design?) to seize and gall easily. An industrial strength impact wrench is the alternative to a pulley holding tool. Lots just run the car to their local import shop; have them loosen the bolt and then snug it up just enough to survive the short ride home; tip the shop $10.
