Default tighten bushing bolts under load only?

Honda says to ONLY DO IT WHILE VEHICLE IS ON GROUND. .. i'm not sure if they have like tiny people to get under a vehicle when its on the ground and tighten the bolts up for them, but theres no way i'd be able to reach any of the bolts. Anyways, had a brainstorm, would just putting a floor jack under a control arm until the vehicles weight is supported work?? ie, just like being on the ground? OR is Honda just crazy with there, only on the ground thing?

You pretty much answer your own question. Just put jack stand under the LCA, drop the car, tighen it and be done with it.

Or do it up in the air with a screw jack to apply pressure on the LCA.

as it turns out, and even if you wanted to, it would be about impossible to bolt everything up not under load. On that... first side, being first attempt minus tear down, = 2 hours. (roughly because i honestly don't know, i have been at it for the last three days? i think (not just rear suspension, body work, exhaust, etc)) second side, half an hour.. clocked.. As it turns out, there is ALWAYS an easier way to do anything

if they're polyurethane bushings, you don't need to preload them before tightening.
