Default Tranny swap questions

I have a 1992 EG, the stock 1.5L (non vtec) engine with stock tranny that I'm parting out. The transmission shifts perfectly, and I just had a new clutch put in like 10-15k miles ago. OEM replacement clutch (aftermarket).

I also have a 2000 Civic DX, with the stock 1.6L D16Y7 (non vtec). The tranny shift beautifully, no grinds, and the clutch isn't slipping or anything. BUT, it makes a bit of a noise sometimes, it's the input shaft bearing.

I've been reading that it's just easier to buy a used tranny instead, as it's a pain to take apart the transmission to fix the input shaft bearing. He said the earlier trannies (92-95) are better than the newer ones.

So, should I just swap my tranny from the 92 into my 00 hatch? Will it bolt up? I would put my clutch as well, I guess. The 00 hatch has 120k miles on it, on original clutch. It doesn't slip at all and drives great, but it's better to put that other clutch in it since it's newer, right?

Thanks.

Bump.

I'm basically asking for advice on whether it's a good idea to put in an older trans with higher KMs (it has like 150000 miles on it so not too bad) in my EK vs just fixing the input shaft bearing on my EK tranny... is it difficult fix or no?
