I found a listing on Craigslist for a polyurethane rear lip for an ek.. so i met up with the girl (it was the boyfriend who posted the listing.. i guess he was out of town, so he had his girl bring the lip).. first thing she said was the "packaging label is wrong".. It said: "1992-1995" on the bag as well as the lip!! It was night time in a parking lot.. so i couldnt really see.. we held it next to my rear bumper... and seemed to be an inch too short.... The girl was insisting that it would be a "TIGHT FIT".....

Later when i got home, i took off my rear bumper and tried it on again. TIGHT FIT!? It was about three inches too short....

Why would she post up listings for EK lips when she's giving out EG lips. She also offered to lower the price 5 bucks.... I didnt even say anything... Fishy huh?

What do i do? contact them and ask for a refund? Or ask for one that fits!??! Supposedly "they're out of stock" but they still have a lot of listings up!!!!

Anybody ever encounter a problem like this? .... Maybe the same girl?

 

you can tried telling her or sell that lip for profit and get a real ek lip.

Don't just text, call. Texting has lowered people's social skills. Try and get an exhange or refund. If neither of those happen, then sell it and buy one that fits.

Yet another reason not to buy from "RETAILERS" on craigslist that just show up in a parking lot in the middle of the night. Sounds like they are stealing that **** and selling it black market style to you.

and if the lip didnt fit in the parking lot, you should have NOT payed for it. This is a big **** up on your part. He is not obligated to refund your money.

 

It sounds like ur probably stuck with the lip. Hope u didn't pay too much for it. Does this guy have a business or just selling stuff on his own?

how old are you? you really need advice from people online to tell you to call this guy back up and tell him that they gave you the wrong lip and all you wanna do is swap it out for the right one?

 

just ask for a refund and get the right lip. problem solved. if your not willing to then i'd say suck it up, cut off the tabs. and just glue the damn lip to your bumper.
