When I open my hood I see 3 relays..( they all look the same ) how can I tell witch 1 is the cooling fan relay..?
Its a 89 civic sedan...

My fans do did not work on their own either. I ended up just wiring them to a toggle switch that I put in my dash. Turn them on when ever I want.
As for the relay... I have no idea.

The ECU is not involved.
The temp sender/switch on the back of the block runs the cooling.
The AC runs the AC fan.
My AC fan realy was bad when I got the car. One junkyard sweep later and ai had a bunch of spares for $5.

^ what he said. mounted to the passenger side fender. There is only one there. You can't miss it. Looking from the front of the vehicle, it is the one all the way to the left. Follow the big arrow.
