Default stereo

k the previous owner hak job'd the wiring for the stereo like exposed wire and wrapped another around it then covered with alot of electrical tape and so i redid it to save myself problems in the future well i re ran the entire thing with housing speaker wire to all 4 speakers (amp and subs arnt in yet) and now when i plug it in it powers up for about 3 seconds then shuts off
before i clean it up with tape
ground that is where the dash connects to the floor in the middle
cable on left is cd deck and wire on right is fog lights (i'll move these later just need it working now)

Did he completely cut and remove all of the OEM wiring harness? There is a power wire in there you could connect to, or if not, I think you could grab one of the hot leads from the fuse block as well.

u m not sure on the color but if your missing the factory plug get a test light an find the power, ot you can run a wire from the cd player harness to the fusebox

i had the same problem with a hack job radio wires also, so what i did is went to the local junk yard and cut a stock radio harness from a civic out there and just solder them all one by one (matched wire to wire). if you want to make nice and neat again i would say do that plus it would save a lot of time and hassle in the future when you swap radios out.

if im not mistakein the stock radio harness are all the same from 88-00.

I already wired all the door speakers with brand new wire tucked away perfectly its just the deck that is dead i'll take some pics of the wires later and the wires i used are a higher grade and will give better quality

Im keeping full interior and porting the cab with the sub box to hit alot harder too
