Whenever im stopped at a light, my tach bounces from 1k to 1500 in the same motion... I turned the heat off, and the idle stopped a bit and then continued. So is this normal? its not idling too high, but its going in like the same patter 1000-1500 and some people ive talked to said that its really really bad. If it is bad what can i do to fix it?

 

Is the tach jumping around due to changes in the engine idle speed or is this just a tach malfunction?

 

Its not normal. Try opening up this screw on the throttle body. See if that helps any, it always worked for me.
