Well you are crazy because shops around me wouldn't touch a motor swap for less than about $2,500. Also it is only $800 more than what you were expecting so don't be a cheap ***. Also this is not supposed to be in this forum...

You are totally unrealistic.

In fact, you're so far out of the realm of realistic that I'm questioning whether or not this is a joke.

No, he just isn't broke like you.

If you had any semblance of intelligence, you'd call around to multiple shops (not one) and get a general concensus of the going rate for this type of work.

If you don't have any money, then you do the labor yourself. Simple as that.

If you don't have any money and you can't do the labor yourself, then I guess you aren't getting an engine swap.

Are you talking about just putting in a motor you have or the shop buying the motor, mounts, etc and putting it in? If it's just swapping it over I think you can find cheaper but you have to take into account the quality of work. After everything was said and done with my swap I was near 5 grand. I got new timing belt, water pump, headgasket, etc.

Our shop charges 500 to install any b series, BUT the motor needs to be purchased from there as well.

My dear dumbass child, I never said I have paid or will pay that amount. I live by Chicago and this is what a lot of shops charge. Obviously you are too ignorant to complete the swap yourself, but as for me I do everything myself. So sorry for calling your cheap *** out. Either way use common sense and call around and don't come on a forum and cry how you don't have enough money to pay for a swap. Go post on the marketplace for someone to do the swap for you.
