Whichever you prefer, just don't exceed 8000k.
I have 8000k. I would probably like 6000k more, but I bought these at a great price.

Just don't buy no-name kits on eBay, they usually aren't very good and the bulbs and ballasts don't last long.

You may get flamed a lot because some people are really against putting HIDs in non-HID housings because it gives off a little bit more glare.
I don't know about you or them, but my car is a lot lower than most other cars on the road and I get glare from just about any car behind and in front of me. That being said, shining a little light in their faces every now and then doesn't bother me so much because I have to deal with it constantly. Also, people say that by doing so you are making the road more dangerous... well, the glare that I deal with every night has never caused me to feel like I am going to get in an accident from it. Sure the glare is annoying, but it's not as dangerous as some make it out to be. If a little bit of glare causes you to get in a crash, you shouldn't be on the road. There's more glare than that during twilight.

Just retro-fit them. If I'm not mistaken it's illegal to just pop them in and drive around with non-hid housings. And I can't stand the ricers around here with bright *** improperly installed hid's blinding everyone. Same thing with the people who mod their fog lights.

6000k is a bit more blending in since some mercedez,s2000,bmw come with 4300/6000k (WHITE) once you reach 8000k (WHITE with that tint of BLUE) ur going to get a lot people pissed up and you don't wanna **** off the wrong people (cops) easy ticket for HIDs. At least with 6000k you can fight the ticket if you even get one since most stock newer cars come with the same kit. Also get a hi AND lo beam package. Having only low beams = another ticket (if you get caught and is asked to test your high beams)
