I am in the market for a used itr or jdm itr shortblock and have found a couple but i was wondering whats the going rate on them these days? Anyone have a ballpark value?

 

Average price for a KNOWN good one is 1500 dollars.

And I'm not talking about one with teh crank and pistons still in it.

I'm talking about one that has every nut and bolt minus head.
1500 for one is one with documentation of mileage, maintence and all components minus head.

Sadly, there are too many shady people out there and I'd be VERY wearey of you deal with.
At least these prices and experiences are in my area.

 

$1947.25 from your friendly Acura dealership. Money very well spent if you are looking at $1500 for a used one.

i pay this all day itr block.. i check all stuff i buy be4 to make sure its not hot either...
300 block and crank
500 complete short block

 

this is my vote, or buy a complete JDM type r engine and sell your stuff to pay for part of it.

 

I'd like to know what dealership is selling blocks that cheap. Myself and another ITR buddy have bought new OEM short blocks within the last year "with hook-ups" in the $2200 range. Sons Acura in ATL, one of the highest volume ITR part dealers in the country, sells them for $2600.
