Default modding a DC 4-2-1 exhaust header

so i have my turbo manifold bolted up to my head, all the oil lines and piping done, i just need to finish my downpipe.

good idea or bad idea to take my 5 bolt flange for my down pipe, weld a pipe going from it into a 3 bolt flange that would bolt up to my current dc exhaust creating a 1-2-1 exhaust system

Skip it and build an actual downpipe.

.....WHY.....

If you have the ability to fab something that is round to go to a split 3 bolt flange 2 piece, why not just build a downpipe? More work and less power, not to mention that it's just a flatout bad idea.

Sell the DC, buy some pipe and make a fatty downpipe with a nice flex section.

i ran out of money for this build awhile ago, bills are priority. the stainless i have now is scrap that i have at my house. i have the flanges for the 5 bolt t3/t4 turbo and the 3 bolt flange for the dc exhaust.

i just want the car to be driveable. i think it wouldnt be too bad of an idea to just make a cone going from the turbo to the dc exhaust, mildly restrictive, but at least i wont have to deal with messing with my o2 sensor. plus, i have a log manifold, i dont plan on having that in a few months. my friend had one, i got it for free. figured id make do.

usualy you may want a non restrictive downpipe and on a n-a engine the oposite so this downpipe is not the best thing for you

even if it work my answer is bad idea
use mild steel if you want to save money
