Default Power Window Problem

One of the ladies at work bought their granddaughter a '89 Honda Accord. The driver side window will not go down, they were told that some wires were loose and that was the problem. I took the door apart and everything was hooked up, so the question is, what is broken so i can fix it. When you hit the switch to make the window go up or down you can hear a relay clicking in a little black box that says 'Power Window Control' and the motor doesn't make a sound, so is the motor bad? or the little balck box? Any way to tell for sure?

It is the little black box, which I believe is the regulator.

My mom's old '89 just had the same problem. I took it all apart and couldn't find anything, just like yourself. The shop replaced the 'black box.' Seems to be a trouble spot on these models.

Sometimes the motors go bad on those. Use a test light to see if the control unit is switching power and ground.
