how could you have a sohc vtec head if honda never made a sohc vtec engine.. that doesn't make any sense. you can get either a p28 or p08.

are you mentally handicapped or something. whats so hard to comprehend about what i said. you are trying to hook up the vtec solenoid and oil pressure switch to your sohc vtec head correct? are you following me? then you inquire as if their is a possibility that an obd1 sohc vtec ecu doesn't exist? seeing as you have an obd1 head sitting in your car at the moment it seems evident that if honda made the head, they probably made an ecu to go along with it perhaps you were confused and thought that maybe their is an obd0 sohc vtec ecu.. there isn't.

this is not difficult. "learn to read bro" and convert your car to obd1, and pick either a p08 or a p28 to run it.

If you really want to stay OBD-0, you might consider turboedit...kinda old and miles behind OBD-I stuff, but it should work for you:

Ok so I don't want to have to buy new harness new ecu and all that crap. All I wanna do is wire up my vtec.

You could wire it up with somethin like a fields vtec controller or rpm activated switch but in the end all you'd have is an expensive noise machine. Without the proper fuel tables from the correct ecu, activating the vtec solenoid would be pointless. But I mean if that's what you want to do that's entirely your choice.

if you go to a nitrous website get something called a full throttle kit then you can have vtech at full throttle. sounds ridiculous but works

not criticizing you, but how that kit works sounds ridiculous. the point of vtec is to essentially engage a larger cam profile once you are nearing the end of the stock non-vtec cam profile. if you're in vtec whenever you're at full throttle, and obviously you'd be flooring it before the stock vtec activation point, you'd actually be losing power.
