aight i have a problem in my 91 hatch .. its leaking water into the trunk the water drips from where the side rear window is attached on the driver side where you latch it. its dripping from there atleast and my spare tire area is holding water .. i was wondering were the drain holes are located so i can check if there clogged or what i could do so it atleast wouldnt hold water .... i could just drill holes couldnt I and put like a rubber piece around the hole to keep it from rusting?

 

You might also check your taillights. One of mine is a culprit, it fills with rain water from the outside, but discharges the excess through bulb holes inside. Are you planing on changing the weatherstripping on your window?

 

idk if its the weather stripping on the window .. and its not the taillights i already checked them ... its just that one spot ... i think its comming in on the hatch side and dripping down thru that piece where you open the side window .. i really just wanna check the drain holes for the moment but idk where they are. if thats not the problem im prob gonna use some sealent arounf the hatch area and see if it works and if not then new weather stripping

 

If it were me, I'd try stopping the water from getting inside, rather than letting it in, and just making sure it goes out.

 

Sit in the car, strip it down if you can. Then have someone run a waterhose on the outside of the car so you can spot where the leak is.
